Madrid, 2014

Located in Monte Principe, a prominent residential neighbourhood in the suburbs of Madrid, the project consists in the remodel of a conventional house, by incorporating a cost effective double skin façade solution.

The client is a great design enthusiast, and was adamant on creating a striking design that emphasized the main volumes of the existent construction while introducing a breath taking design with raw contemporary materials such as teak wood and galvanized perforated steel panels.

Some of the pre-existing openings remained behind the galvanized steel façade providing natural light whereas all the new windows were design as individual elements that gained their own identity though cubical extrusions in the façade.
